Agrinergie I is the first solar plant, with an Agrinergie® element mounted on agricultural greenhouses, to be installed on Réunion. It was developed in partnership with Mr. Payet, an experienced horticulturalist who grows many varieties of lilies and anthurium. In a market where imports have slowly pushed out local production, Mr. Payet’s greenhouses have helped rebuild the island’s high-quality production of cut flowers.

In addition, the project’s 5 photovoltaic greenhouses are able to withstand tropical cyclones and protect the fragile flowers from insects and other parasites.
