Biogas Plant in Pays de Nouzilly 0.46 MW
Project description
| Location : | Indre et Loire, France |
| Installed capacity : | 0,46 MW |
| Net annual GHG emission reduction : | 1934 tons of CO², that is 354 cars not used, i.e. the average consumption of 746 households. |
Anaerobic digestion unit
The anaerobic digestion unit project known as Biogaz du Pays de Nouzilly (BPN) has been developed in partnership with the French Research Centre INRA in Nouzilly (Indre et Loire region). The industrial unit will be supplied with waste from the Research Centre as well as from external sources of waste. Biogas will be produced from this waste by means of anaerobic digestion and subsequently and converted into heat energy which will be supplied to the buildings which comprise the center as well as a barn-drying unit. The remaing waste from the anaerobic digestion process will be used by the INRA to fertilize cultivated areas.
Waste deposits
Waste deposits will amount to 14 450 tons/year, among which 47% are generated from the INRA site of Nouzilly. The electric potential power thereby produced is 373 kWe.
