Water (Hydro) energy

We are involved in all stages of the life cycle of power plants: studies, design, financing, construction and operation.

Hydro-electric energy is produced from the kinetic energy generated by currents, rivers, waterfalls or tides. The most significant output comes from power dams. In this particular case, energy is produced by the difference in altitude between the dam and the energy conversion point.

Water is transported through a pipeline to the machine residing within the energy conversion plant where electricity is produced by means of turbines. Large power dam projects are now called into question owing to their adverse effect on environment. For the time being, there is a tendency towards the construction of mini power dams which convert hydraulic energy into electricity on a relatively small scale (to power a small city or village), without having an adverse effect on the environment.
