ENERGIE DU GÂTINAIS - 24 MW
France
Agrinergie® project - in operation

  • Location: Seine-et-Marne and Loiret regions, France
  • Installed capacity: 24 MW
  • Status: In operation
  • Turbines: Vestas V90 - 2 MW
  • CO₂ emission reductions per year: 4 260 tons
  • Power supply per year: Equivalent to 21 668 households
  • Cultivated species: Permaculture

With capacity of 24MW from its 12 turbines, the Energie du Gâtinais wind farm is the biggest in the Ile-de-France region, which is the location of 8 of the turbines, the other 4 being in Centre-Val-de-Loire. It has an annual output of more than 60GWh, the equivalent of total consumption in the Nemours area. To complement this green energy facility, Akuo Energy has developed an Agrinergie® project in the form of a 1000m² permaculture business, by providing financial support to a young farmer.

The land made available to the farmer is devoted to growing organic vegetables and raising livestock. As part of this commitment to responsible agriculture, Akuo Energy has already joined forces with Carrefour to guarantee the sale of produce from the farm in Carrefour Bio stores in Ile-de-France, creating a short supply chain for the permaculture operation.
