Located partly in the commune of St-Germainmont, Energie du Porcien, 39 MW, which combines two wind farms, Saint Germainmont, 20.5 MW, et Sevigny Wallape, 18.5 MW, not only generates electricity, but has also worked with the local authority to contribute to a number of local projects, including establishing a walking path – working with the Traine-Savates charity – and the floral planting of the village’s former washhouse, supplied by a rainwater reservoir.

In the project’s other host commune, Sévigny-Waleppe, the project financed the upgrading of a local road in the village of Dizy-le-Gros, to improve access for farm machinery. Lastly, as part of a drive for transparency, the project company has worked with naturalists who for several years have analyzed the interaction between renewable energy production and bat and bird populations.
