?️ On May 27, @[Valentine lassalas], Akuo's Senior Public Affairs Manager, participated in the first Sustainable Investment Forum in Pristina, #Kosovo.  She joined a panel discussion on "Transforming the energy system – need for business to step up."   This participation was a valuable opportunity to highlight Akuo's long-standing commitment in the #WesternBalkans, being the first international energy actor to get involved in the peninsula.   ? Kosovo has made significant progress towards regulatory clarity and stability for energy projects. Akuo, alongside the renewable energy industry, is ready to support the country in attaining its national renewable energy target in order to achieve its energy transition. On May 21, @[Joséphine Berthelot], Solar Technology Director, took part in the 4th Floating Solar PV Forum, held in Berlin, Germany. ?️ Joséphine made a brilliant presentation on the performance gain between floating and fixed solar systems, based on a comparative analysis between between floating solar power plant and ground-based test plant. As a pioneer in floating solar power, and through our three floating solar power plants in operation, including OMEGA 1, the largest power plant in France, Akuo actively participates in knowledge-sharing programs such as @[SERENDI-PV] in the European Union. On May 14, @[Julie Abastado], our Business Dev & Development, took part in the @[INES - Institut National de l'Energie Solaire] conference "Floating photovoltaic solar energy: progress and prospects in France", held in Champagne-au-Mont-d'Or, France. ? This edition of the conference explores the progress and perspectives of floating solar photovoltaics in #France.  Floating solar technology enables the rehabilitation of these unused and heavily anthropized water areas to participate today in the energy transition. Our floating solar power plant, OMEGA 1, commissioned in 2019, stands as France's largest one. Through annual faunal and floral monitoring studies, we consistently observe the near-zero impact of the panels on biodiversity. Our participation in this event not only allows us to share our experiences and expertise but also strengthens our relationships with key players in the floating energy sector in France. Akuo awarded Portugal's first agrivoltaics project! ? Within the framework of the European Union's Recovery and Resilience Plan RRP, Akuo and its partners including @[Instituto Nacional de Investigação Agrária e Veterinária, IP INIAV, IP] will collaborate on the FruitPV project, located in Alcobaça. This experimental program aims to combine #solarenergy and #agriculture to create sustainable solutions beneficial for both the environment and local farming. ? With over 15 years of experience in agrivoltaics worldwide, and collaboration with @[Agriterra Group], we will implement and monitor agrivoltaics solutions specifically tailored to the cultivation of Fuji apple trees. Our goal is to find the most efficient and sustainable solutions that can be replicated on a larger scale. Such a program is a tangible input to the agricultural and energy sovereignty of Portugal, so as to make the best of constrained land. #Akuo #Agrivoltaics #Sustainability #Innovation
