She shared insights on the key challenges of developing floating PV installations. Meanwhile, @[Edouard Poirier]([remove]-5yO), Power Origination Associate, moderated a panel during the Solarplaza Summit France PV & Storage titled “Electricity Price Volatility and PV Profitability in France: Challenges and Outlooks.” The discussion highlighted how extreme market fluctuations are impacting the profitability of solar and storage projects in France. A great opportunity to exchange ideas on the future of floating PV and the challenges of the evolving solar and energy market. #FloatingSolar #RenewableEnergy #EnergyTransition Voir la publication Image 25/06/2025 New Virtual Power Purchase Agreement VPPA signed with Sasol in the U.S.! We are happy to announce a 15-year VPPA with @[Sasol] to supply their Lake Charles Chemicals Complex with renewable electricity from our Tennyson solar farm in Texas. The agreement will cover about 50% of the electricity consumption of the Sasol site and will reduce their CO₂ emissions by approximately 90,000 tons each year. This VPPA marks a key step toward building our first solar power plant in the United States: the 195 MWp Tennyson project, located in Coke County, Texas. Construction is set to begin soon, creating local jobs and contributing to energy transition efforts in Texas. We are proud to collaborate with partners like Sasol in supporting their environmental objectives. #SolarSummit #EnergyTransition #Agrivoltaics #RenewableEnergy Voir la publication Image 19/06/2025 ✒️ New corporate PPA signed with Imerys in the U.S.! We’re excited to announce that we’ve signed a 15-year Corporate Power Purchase Agreement with @[Imerys] to power their U.S. operations with 153 GWh of renewable electricity annually. ☀️ This agreement will support the construction of our first solar power plant in the U.S.: Tennyson, a 195 MWp project located in Coke County, Texas. Once operational in 2026, it will cover around 30% of Imerys' electricity needs in the U.S. and will reduce their CO₂ emissions by 67,000 tons annually. Beyond its environmental benefits, the project will also create added value for Coke County, supporting local economic development and contributing to the growing renewable energy sector in Texas. The Tennyson project is designed to qualify for domestic content rules, thanks to the supply of @[First Solar] panels, @[Nextracker Inc.] smart solar trackers, and other American equipment. #CorporatePPA #RenewableEnergy Voir la publication Image 17/06/2025 Akuo at the Macedonian Energy Forum 2025 Akuo attended @[MEF Energy Forum/ZIP Institute] – Western Balkans in Skopje, with @[Emil Bakic], Country Manager, and @[Antonio Vidić]([remove]-Ri9l), Senior Project Developer, joining alongside our local partners. Antonio spoke at the welcoming roundtable “A Decade of the Paris Agreement: Progress, Challenges, and the Road Ahead for the Western Balkans”, organized in partnership with the Ministry of Environment and the French Embassy. As he highlighted: “The energy transition is a defining opportunity for North Macedonia - not just because of its natural potential, but because the political will is truly there. With a newly engaged government and the strong leadership of Sanja Bozhinovska’s Ministry of Energy, the country is ready to turn ambition into action.” Akuo is committed to supporting North Macedonia in this effort. We are developing a 450 MW solar project that will provide green and affordable electricity to local communities, while delivering tangible socio-economic benefits, including job creation and knowledge sharing with students. Thank you to the organizers and partners for enabling this important dialogue.
