This friendly moment provided an opportunity to exchange vegetarian recipes and discover new ways of cooking, while reducing our environmental impact. It was also an opportunity to discuss and reflect on the various initiatives organized by Akuo for the occasion: 🧑🏫 Several internal workshops on topics such as: “What is buying sustainably”, “CSR criteria in profit-sharing”, and “understanding biodiversity”. 🎤 Participation in the @[PRODURABLE] trade show and speaking at the conference on CSR backlash 🌍 The @[Ma Petite Planète] challenge, in which our employees are taking on environmental challenges until October 20. The AIM conference 2025 organized under the high patronage of the European Commission, is meant to explore how strategic public investment, regional cooperation, and EU alignment can transform the Western Balkans - with Montenegro at the forefront - into a destination for sustainable capital. Such a tone was set from the start with the opening speeches delivered by President Ursula von der Leyen and Prime Minister Milojko Spajić. Akuo's Supervisory Board President, @[Eric Scotto], demonstrated by a thorough return on experience how renewable energy investment can benefit both citizens and the country at large during his participation to the panel “Accelerating the Western Balkans’ green and smart growth” to share our vision for sustainable investment in the region. 🤝 Akuo has been active in Montenegro since the development of Krnovo 72 MW, one of the country’s first wind farms. Our success here reflects the strong cooperation with national authorities and a shared ambition to make Montenegro a regional leader in clean energy. 📝Going beyond words, and being service-oriented, Akuo signed a new MoU with EPCG, the national electricity operator, for RES deployment, in particular a solar project and a storage one. Alexandre a ainsi pu réaffirmer que les carrières offrent un potentiel unique pour le développement de projets photovoltaïques, grâce à leur disponibilité foncière, leur phasage d’exploitation et leur faible conflit d’usage. Aujourd’hui, 44 carrières en France métropolitaine totalisent déjà 360 MWc de solaire installé, selon l’étude UNPG/SER. Le gisement foncier total, estimé à près de 120 000 hectares mobilisables, pourrait permettre de contribuer à l'atteinte des objectifs nationaux de 5 à 7 GW par an d’ici 2035. 🤝 Au-delà du solaire au sol, les carrières peuvent également accueillir des projets agrivoltaïques et de stockage par batteries, renforçant leur rôle dans la transition énergétique et la reconversion industrielle. In a constantly changing world, it is important to keep our goals in mind and look at what has already been achieved. According to the latest reports of the IRENA and IEA: 🌍 Renewables accounted for 46% of global installed power capacity in 2024 📈 The amount of installed renewable power is forecast to more than double by 2030 ☀️Solar PV will lead this growth, contributing for around 80% of the global increase in renewable power capacity, remaining the lowest-cost option 🌱 Renewables are expected to surpass coal at the end of 2025 to become the largest source of energy generation globally. At Akuo we have been committed to advancing the energy transition since 2007. While the current political and economic context may present challenges, it is essential to maintain a steady and global approach.
