Last week, together with @[The Polish Wind Energy Association], we welcomed over 100 children to our Wielowieś Wind Farm for an educational visit focused on renewable energy and sustainability. It was a great opportunity to show what wind power really is – up close, in action, and with all the questions kids can come up with. Last week took place the 8th Latin American Energy Summit in Santiago, Chile. Bringing together operators in the energy sector from Latin America, engineering firms, infrastructure project developers, construction, investors, and government officials, @[Martin Bocage], VP Chile for Akuo, had the pleasure to speak about Akuo’s experience in the region. With a portfolio totalling billions of dollars in renewable generation and storage projects, the Latin America region faces many challenges. How will they advance in the coming years? What are the key factors for its development and implementation? What role do they play in the evolution of the business model of traditional energy companies in the region? These were the questions Martin addressed alongside his co-panelists in the discussion on “Renewables Expansion: the Future Reality of Grids.” To do so, he shared the challenges Akuo has faced with its projects in Chile and Uruguay, highlighting how, with 15 years of experience in countries with highly differing degrees of grid maturity, our teams have developed a broad and diverse expertise. Today, we leverage cutting-edge tools and resources to support the energy transition across the region. Latin America was Akuo’s first step in geographical diversification back in 2007, with the construction of three wind farms in Uruguay. Even then, Akuo was deeply convinced of the region’s transformative potential.
