At the Greece-France Economic Forum in Athens, our CEO @[Bruno Bensasson]([remove]\_-) spoke during the Energy Transition panel, sharing perspectives on Europe’s path toward a more resilient, sovereign and decarbonized energy system. ✒️ This visit was also marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding for the development of renewable energy projects in Greece, in the presence of French President Emmanuel Macron and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. 🗣 ”France and Greece are strong European partners, to all extent. Still largely reliant on coal, the country is now accelerating its shift toward a more sustainable and diversified energy mix: a priority strongly supported at European level. Akuo has been contributing to this transformation through the development of renewable energy projects across the country since 2021. Today in Poland, Akuo means: ⚡ 3 wind farms commissioned in 2021, ⚡ 132 MW of installed capacity, 🏡 Nearly 200,000 households supplied with electricity, 🌱 Around 300,000 tons of CO₂ emissions avoided every year. Beyond these projects, our local teams work closely with stakeholders to support regional initiatives and help drive the transition away from coal. By building on strong local expertise, Akuo continues to expand its footprint in Poland across both wind and solar contributing to a more secure, affordable and sustainable energy mix in Europe. Voir la publication Image 06/03/2026 🔌 Producing energy locally: a key lever to accelerate the energy transition and strengthen Europe’s energy sovereignty Last week, at the @[Raise - Investir na Transição Energética] Final Summit, @[João Maria de Macedo Santos] took part in a panel discussion on “The energy transition as the new geopolitics”. 📢 His key message was clear: in this new geopolitical reality, the real answer to energy security is accelerating the energy transition. By producing energy locally from resources such as the sun and wind, we reduce geopolitical dependence and price volatility. It also calls for a rethink of how we invest in energy. Countries with strong renewable potential and stable regulatory frameworks, like Portugal, demonstrate how policy continuity can attract long-term investment and support projects that are firmly rooted in local territories. 🤝 At Akuo, we are convinced that humanizing the energy transition is essential: it is not only about gigawatts, but about innovation, agriculture, biodiversity, and local value creation. The success of the projects depends on how well they are integrated in their local environment, co-constructed with the communities and benefitting them through more stable electricity bills, employment and regional development.
