🔌 Producing energy locally: a key lever to accelerate the energy transition and strengthen Europe’s energy sovereignty   Last week, at the @[Raise - Investir na Transição Energética] Final Summit, @[João Maria de Macedo Santos] took part in a panel discussion on “The energy transition as the new geopolitics”.   📢 His key message was clear: in this new geopolitical reality, the real answer to energy security is accelerating the energy transition.   By producing energy locally from resources such as the sun and wind, we reduce geopolitical dependence and price volatility. It also calls for a rethink of how we invest in energy. Countries with strong renewable potential and stable regulatory frameworks, like Portugal, demonstrate how policy continuity can attract long-term investment and support projects that are firmly rooted in local territories.   🤝 At Akuo, we are convinced that humanizing the energy transition is essential:  it is not only about gigawatts, but about innovation, agriculture, biodiversity, and local value creation. The success of the projects depends on how well they are integrated in their local environment, co-constructed with the communities and benefitting them through more stable electricity bills, employment and regional development. 🌤️ @[Stéphanie Maalouf] and @[Camille Morel], participated this week in EPRI’s Workshop Week 2026, contributing to the session dedicated to Solar Performance Optimization. As part of this program, Akuo’s Solar team presented its approach to the integration of Weather Station WS and SCADA data for PV performance assessment. This process plays a key role in improving the accuracy, reliability, and long‑term performance of solar assets. During the presentation, Akuo shared insights on: 🔹 Types of sensors and accuracy requirements IEC 61724‑1 🔹 Internal guidelines for WS design, redundancy, and placement 🔹 SCADA data acquisition using the Univers Bazefield platform 🔹 The 500‑hour commissioning test protocol for WS sensor and equipment validation 🔹 Performance analysis workflows 🔹 Case‑specific methodologies for AgriPV, trackers, and multi‑orientation sites Akuo extends its thanks to @[EPRI] for hosting this collaborative and insightful workshop, and to all participants for the valuable exchanges. These discussions continue to strengthen industry practices and contribute to more accurate PV performance assessment across the sector.

🔋 Santas BAT: construction has officially started! We are proud to announce the start of construction of the Santas Battery project in Portugal, a key milestone in strengthening grid stability and accelerating the energy transition. Located in Borba, in the Alentejo region, this project is a battery energy storage system designed to hybridize the existing Santas solar PV plant, combining solar generation and storage to maximize the value of renewable energy. The project includes: • 80 MW of power • 220 MWh of storage capacity The battery’s storage capacity corresponds to around 5 hours of electricity supply for a city the size of Évora. By storing solar energy produced during the day and releasing it when electricity demand is higher, Santas BAT will enhance the flexibility and resilience of the Portuguese power grid while enabling a more efficient integration of solar energy. Commissioning is expected in the second quarter of 2027. The project also benefits from European public funding, highlighting its strategic role in the development of sustainable energy infrastructure in Portugal. 📢 Women\@Akuo, un temps fort dédié au leadership inclusif afin de comprendre les biais et faire évoluer nos pratiques Dans le cadre du programme Women\@Akuo, nous avons partagé ce vendredi un temps fort dédié au leadership inclusif, animé par @[Eglantine Tancray], CEO du cabinet de recrutement inclusif Taylor River. Un programme riche, qui a permis de traiter de nombreux sujets : 1️⃣ Le bilan des actions du programme Women\@Akuo déployé depuis 3 ans et des progrès réalisés en matière d’égalité professionnelle, présenté par @[Myriam Pfister](urn:li:person:-pS97GFBGu) et @[Caroline Roynette Benoit]([remove]-Q) avec l’équipe RH 2️⃣ Un éclairage sur les inégalités femmes-hommes et les différentes formes de sexisme autour de chiffres clés 3️⃣ Un échange sur la distinction autour du sexisme paternaliste ou hostile et leurs impacts concrets sur les parcours des femmes 4️⃣ Une réflexion collective sur les stéréotypes de genre et de carrière, les biais de recrutement qui influencent encore l’accès aux postes de direction 5️⃣ Une définition partagée du leadership inclusif, comme la capacité à engager un collectif diversifié vers un objectif commun en valorisant l’altérité 6️⃣ Une expérience de scénothérapie, où la lecture à voix haute d’un texte littéraire a ouvert l’échange et la prise de conscience autour de l’affirmation de soi, du regard de l’autre et du leadership au féminin. Chez Akuo, nous sommes convaincus que la diversité et le leadership inclusif, sont des leviers essentiels de performance et d’engagement collectif.
