What do they stand for? 🔎 At Akuo, we believe that the energy transition can only succeed if it creates value for all stakeholders. That conviction is reflected in five commitments that guide our decisions and actions every day. 🤝 Building lasting trust with our clients providing them with reliable and competitive renewable energy. 👥 Ensuring a safe and healthy workplace that supports personal development and work-life balance. 📈 Delivering on our commitments as a solid, scalable company capable of generating sustainable returns. 🌱 Advancing climate action while preserving biodiversity by deploying renewable energy that replaces fossil fuels. 🏡 Developing projects that generate positive environmental and social impacts, create local value, and remain closely connected to the communities in which they operate. Because the energy transition is not only about the electricity we produce, but about the collective effort, collaboration and responsibility behind every project. #renewableenergy #energytransition Voir la publication 06/08/2026 🌴 Reunion Island: where Akuo's story began. Akuo's history is closely linked to Reunion Island. Since establishing its presence there in 2007, the island has become a true innovation hub where we have developed and tested solutions that now support renewable energy projects around the world. From our first agrivoltaic projects to battery storage solutions, Reunion Island has played a key role in building Akuo's expertise, particularly in non-interconnected power systems. Today, Akuo in Reunion Island means, in operation and under construction: ⚡ 47 MW of installed capacity, 🔋 60 MWh of storage capacity, 🌱 52 000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions avoided every year, 🏡 The equivalent of 23 500 households supplied with renewable electricity. Supported by around 30 local employees across project development, construction, operations, maintenance and agricultural activities, we continue to contribute to Reunion Island's ambitious energy transition. #ReunionIsland #RenewableEnergy #EnergyTransition #Storage Voir la publication Image 04/08/2026 🔋 Measuring impact beyond megawatts? At Akuo, sustainability is more than a commitment. It is embedded in every decision we make. In 2025, Akuo's projects helped avoid an estimated 1,265 ktCO₂e. This result reflects the scale of the contribution renewable energy can make and reinforces our commitment to combining growth, transparency and responsibility. With renewable energy, what matters is not only the impact it creates, but also the impact it avoids. In an increasingly challenging environment for the development of renewable energy, we have continued to roll out large-scale projects, combining engineering expertise, financial security and local integration. As of the end of March 2026, our facilities in operation and under construction represented: 🔹 2.1 GW of electrical capacity 🔹 310+ MW/660+ MWh of storage capacity Across the globe, these achievements demonstrate our ability to successfully deliver complex projects and create lasting value for local communities. In the face of challenges surrounding the generation, storage and transmission of electricity, our course remains unchanged: to accelerate the roll-out of renewable solutions and strengthen the resilience of energy systems. Over the past week, we had the pleasure of welcoming children from Estremoz to two educational activities focused on renewable energy and biodiversity. At our Santas Solar Plant, participants joined a guided birdwatching session led by an ornithologist, discovering the rich biodiversity present around the site and learning how renewable energy production can coexist with nature conservation 🐦 A few days later, younger students took part in hands-on workshops, where they witnessed how the sun and the wind can be transformed into electricity and then into movement or light, through a miniature house powered by solar energy, a wind turbine that lit a small lamp as it turned, and miniature electrical vehicles driven by photovoltaic panels. The enthusiasm, curiosity and engagement shown by the children made these initiatives especially rewarding. They also reminded us that our projects create value beyond clean electricity by sharing knowledge and strengthening connections with local communities.
