Laudun
Pioneering solar power plant in the 'building-integrated' category
The first solar project commissioned by Akuo, Laudun is a photovoltaic plant incorporated within the roof of a logistics building belonging to FM Logistic just north of Avignon in southern France. Its flexible and amorphous photovoltaic panels guarantee a watertight roof while producing 1.4 MW of electrical output.
Operational since 2008, this solar plant covers a surface area of 28,000 m² and was, when it opened, the largest roof-integrated photovoltaic plant in Europe using flexible membranes.
Its 2,560 panels enable the surface’s productive use to be maximized by generating local, decentralized and renewable energy.
