Akuo completes a series of crowdfunding operations totaling more than 5 million euros for its projects in Côte-d’Or
Dijon, December 12, 2025 – Akuo, French producer and developer of renewable energy, has successfully completed a series of three crowdfunding operations aimed at savers and businesses for a total of 5.156 million euros.
A record for a national tender-winning project
The sums raised by the crowdfunding operations launched successively since early 2025 will be used to finance three agrivoltaic projects in the French department of Côte-d’Or:
• The crowdfunding campaign for the Sombernon project raised €3,356,000.
This is a record amount for a project having won a tender launched by the CRE (French energy regulation commission).
• The crowdfunding campaigns for the Saint-Martin-de-la-Mer and Saulieu projects raised €994,000 and €806,000 respectively.
These three projects, which are currently under construction, will become operational between the end of 2025 and the first quarter of 2026.
Participation in these crowdfunding operations was exclusively reserved for residents and businesses of Côte-d’Or and neighboring departments, in order to enable local players to benefit from the facilities’ profitability.
The funds raised will contribute to the installation of over 54 MW of local solar capacity while securing and sustaining six agricultural holdings.
The crowdfunding of renewable energy facilities has found its public
Carried out via the Lendosphere platform and its subsidiary Lendopolis, and notably via the portal devoted to raising funds for Akuo Group projects, AkuoCoop by Lendosphere, these crowdfunding campaigns are evidence of citizens’ strong commitment to a move to a more sustainable energy model. It also illustrates an appetite for this type of savings product that combines meaning and performance.
Akuo was one of the first developers to opt for crowdfunding. It launched its own platform back in 2017 before joining, in 2024, Lendosphere, the European leader in crowdfunding for the energy transition, in order to broaden its horizons, notably at a European level.
Sara Hernandez Nass, Crowdfunding Manager at Akuo, says: “More than ever, crowdfunding is playing a key role in the implementation of Akuo’s renewable energy projects. It is not only an additional source of financing, but also a way of creating strong ties with local communities. The success of these three campaigns – exclusively carried out on a local level – are a sign of the confidence local players have in our projects. By involving them in the financing of these projects, we are fostering a better understanding of renewable energy issues".
