PMGD
A portfolio of solar plants feeding into the grid
The PMGD portfolio in Chile includes 9 photovoltaic plants across the Maule, Biobio, Ñuble and IX regions. Developed under the PMGD (Pequeños Medios de Generación Distribuida, i.e. small distributed generation means) scheme, these projects inject their production into the local power grid, thus directly helping supply power to local areas.
To date, 6 plants are interconnected: La Huerta, San Clemente, La Quinta, Chacaico, La Perla and Collanco. The remaining three 3 facilities, Parronal, Trilaleo and San Serapio, are currently under construction.
The portfolio is based on the installation of solar panels with trackers to provide enhanced performance throughout the day. The projects are located on sites of various sizes ranging from 5 to 30 hectares (12 to 74 acres).

Our CSR Commitments
Support for local players
In the vicinity of the San Clemente project, a stand-alone photovoltaic system has been put in place at the district council’s head offices comprising eight 586 W solar modules, a 5.6 kW inverter, four 200 Ah batteries as well as lighting and power socket equipment.
For the Trilaleo and Parronal projects, irrigation systems have been put in place in order to strengthen the production capabilities of farmers from neighboring communities.
This initiative supports the local community’s activities.
