The Annet-sur-Marne solar PV plant was born of a partnership between Akuo and ECT, a specialist in reusing land used for construction and civil engineering work. Indeed, the solar panels stand on inert backfill, thus giving this unused land a new lease of life. With an output of 17MWp, Les Gabots is about to become the largest solar plant in the Ile-de-France region around Paris.

It also has more than 44,000 modules, and the solar panels cover 18.5 ha of land. The plant is benefiting from participative funding from the Ile-de-France Region and the Communauté de Communes Plaines et Monts de France community of surrounding villages. Ordinary citizens can also support Les Gabots project via the AkuoCoop platform.
