Rocksprings is a 150 MW wind project in Texas, USA. Sold in 2015 to Sun Edison due to a lack of visibility on future tax structures, Rocksprings was repurchased from the former global renewables giant after it filed for bankruptcy and given that the regulatory framework is now favorable. Rocksprings is therefore unique both for its history and its fundamentals: a production ratio of 42% on a P50 basis, a 15-year

electricity purchase contract backed up by a 12-year hedging contract and an on-site grid connection. During the financing phase, Rocksprings benefited from all the expertise of Akuo Energy and its partners on the Sterling wind project. The project took 9 months to built, and its production began in the fourth quarter of 2017.
